Training Options

Courses are offered in two formats:

Format A: Whole School In-Service - online or on-site professional development. Check our website calendar and use the message box to request scheduling with a few preferred dates.

Format B: Open Online Enrollment - virtual workshops open to all educators. The next course is listed below. Registration opens April 25, 2026

Elemental Music and Movement
in the Montessori Classroom
Four Saturdays 1-3 PM ET
Live online – June 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2026

Course Overview

Designed for Montessori Guides and Assistants, this interactive training introduces rhythm, movement, and singing while supporting the child’s independent musical exploration.

Rooted in Montessori human development, the elemental approach views music as a natural human capacity, not a specialty. Integrated daily classroom activities nurture coordination and social-emotional growth in younger children and spark imagination and reasoning in older children.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Explore Montessori concepts through multisensory music experiences

  • Adapt playful strategies for varied learning levels and needs

  • Embrace music and movement as essential human expression

 

Course Components

  • 8 hours of live instruction

  • 130-page lesson manual for daily classroom use

  • Electronic record-keeping spreadsheet

  • Complimentary coaching by request

 

Schedule

  • Saturdays: June 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2026

  • Time: 1:00–3:00 PM ET

Tuition: $175.00 per person

Recordings: Sessions are not recorded. Elemental music learning is interactive and depends on the shared presence of all participants.

We’re excited to announce our upcoming professional development workshop. This training explores how music and movement nurture concentration, coordination, and joyful expression, in children of various abilities and in ourselves as educators.
 
Join us online for 3 Saturdays from 12-3 PM ET:
January 10th and 24th, February 7th, 2026.

In the meantime, Whole School In-Service sessions for professional staff development are available year-round. You may request in-person or online training tailored to your school’s needs using the contact form.
