EVERYONE can Sing, Say, Dance, and Play!

This Level 1 training workshop introduces skills and strategies for an elemental approach to music and movement. Short daily sessions after the Montessori work period explore a total music experience, uniting movement, speech rhythms, body percussion, stories, poems, dramatic play, dance, singing, and percussion instruments. The multisensory modalities offer entry points for different learners and develop an embodied understanding of concepts and content.

Highlights:

• Deep dive into movement, inspired by Feldenkrais and Laban Movement Analysis;
• Finger and hand games to activate brain development;
• Celebration of imagination, diversity, community, and peace;
• Detailed lessons in a 120-page manual and electronic record keeping layout;
• Principles that can be adapted to any age group and culture.

Four 2-hour live virtual sessions

Workshop 1: Saturdays, September 21 and 28, October 5 and 12, 12:00–14:00 EST  (select Workshop 1 to register)

Workshop 2: Tuesdays, September 24, October 1, 8, 15, 19:00–21:00 EST

Tuition: $135.00 per person.

Recordings:

Sessions are not recorded. Traditionally, elemental music takes place in community and appreciates everyone’s presence. There will be attendance flexibility between Saturday and following identical Tuesday sessions.
